This went above and beyond all expectations. Such warm, beautiful people everywhere that we went. We ate well, saw and experienced incredible things: all wonderful.

My favorite places to stay: Simien Lodge (so comfortable, with hot warer bottles to take to bed), Lalibela Lodge (beautiful views over the stunning town) and Gheralta Lodge. The Fasil Lodge in Gondar had the most warm and helpful hosts to look after us too.
