Our main purpose was to experence the ancient churches, monasteries and other culutural icons. These were awe inspiring and beyond anything we expected. The landscapes will also live on for us.

We opted for a road only option. We do not regret this as we do not like either airports or flying. However this involved some very long days.

Also temperatures at night can fall to zero and rooms are not necessarily heated. Take plenty of layers and be very cautious about camping.

Like other operators they were let down by hotels they had booked in Lalabella and coped very well on our behalf. Other independent or small group travellers were less fortunate.
